Unicancer is the local representative of the EORTC in France since 2009. This collaboration aims to facilitate the activation of EORTC-sponsored trials in France and to stimulate the participation of French investigative centres

What is EORTC?

As an independent, non-governmental, non-profit cancer research organisation established under the laws of Belgium, the mission of the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer is to coordinate and conduct international translational and clinical research to improve the standard of cancer treatment for patients.

What does this mean for Unicancer?

The Unicancer EORTC Liaison Officer is responsible for all regulatory and operational tasks necessary for the initiation and follow-up of sites in France, and is the main contact for all French participating sites for all regulatory and operational issues.

In 2020, 4 new EORTC-sponsored trials were activated in France and 31 studies were under recruitment.
